Varzi, 2026 | ongoing
Set within the hills of Varzi, this private garden is designed in direct relationship with the surrounding agricultural and woodland landscape. The rural context becomes the main design reference and generates a timeless outdoor space that connects the historic part of the house with its contemporary extension. The garden is structured through tree alignments, vegetated screens and subtle changes in elevation that progressively open and close views toward the landscape, creating visual filters and shifting perspectives. The space is organized as a sequence of green rooms defined by vegetation that acts as walls and partitions and by pathways made of rustic materials that structure and guide the experience of the garden. The swimming pool is conceived as an autonomous element slightly elevated above the rest of the garden and separated by a sloping split-stone wall that introduces a contemporary gesture while maintaining a timeless character through the use of local traditional materials.
