“Laputa – Garden in the sky”, 2025
Proposto per il Festival International des Jardins de Chaumont-sur-Loire, il progetto Laputa – Garden in the Sky interpreta il tema “Making a Scene? The Garden on Camera” come una sequenza spaziale basata su movimento, percezione progressiva e narrazione del paesaggio.

Proposed for the Festival International des Jardins de Chaumont-sur-Loire, Laputa – Garden in the Sky interprets the theme “Making a Scene? The Garden on Camera” as a spatial sequence based on movement, progressive perception, and landscape narration. Inspired by the film Laputa: Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki, the garden evokes the ruins of a lost civilization through compacted earth columns, gravel paths, and large drifts of grasses and perennials. Visitors move through a diagonal composition leading to a circular clearing with a small reflecting water element, the focal point of the garden. The planting design creates a dynamic and resilient landscape where vegetation, growth, and time transform the space, reflecting on the relationship between human presence and the autonomy of nature.
